Glimmer *Non-Alc* - Feb. 20th

CA$35.00

You can’t go out to eat or drink these days without seeing a new kombucha, juice brand, or flavoured bubbly water. Dry January and Sober October grow in interest every year, and the conscious consumption movement is something even the most devoted of wine-os can’t ignore.

In short, the world of non-alcoholic is burgeoning, and we are so excited to see our friend and long-time wine colleague Janet Helou at the helm of the very sparkly Glimmer, a new alcohol-free wine from the Okanagan.

Janet has been in the wine business for over a decade on the sales and marketing side, but she’s been a food scientist even longer than that! As a certified food scientist and with a BSc in Biology, Janet’s approach to wine is grounded in what’s in the glass and how we taste it. This is especially relevant given that the world of non-alcoholic wine requires a whole new set of understanding and winemaking beyond traditional alcoholic wine.

The event starts at 6 PM on February 20th at 265 E Pender in Chinatown, Vancouver.

Each ticket includes four samples of Glimmer’s non-alcoholic wine (along with some other delicious non-alcoholic wines/beverages) served to guide the one hour of conversation, where you can learn firsthand about all things non-alcoholic wines!

After the class, non-alc wines and beverages by the glass are available for purchase at an additional cost (but fairly priced!). There will also be a chance to buy off-sales bottles to take home! We hope as many people as possible will have a chance to meet Janet so expect lots of standing room once the wine bar portion of the evening begins.

One night only. No prior knowledge required. Everyone welcome.
