Accessibility and equity in this wide world of wine are at the core of what we do. We recognize barriers exist to the understanding of wine and are committed to finding ways to make it joyful and understandable to all.
We see wine as a positive catalyst for socio-cultural, environmental, and economic change, and hope that you embody this same ethos.
We recognize that the history of winemaking and wine trade is wealthy and euro-centric, and hope to find ways to bring the beauty of wine culture to diverse peoples. While we don’t expect you to have all the answers to how to do these things, we do hope that you can find meaning, as we do, in the ways to find them.
The wine world is an ever-changing industry and our ideal candidate recognizes that the ‘truth’ about wine is always a moving target that shifts with climate change, political context, and scientific exploration. Dogmatic ideology, whether it be an old-school ‘natural wine is gross’ or even a more contemporary ‘sulfites are always the enemy’ ignores much of the progress and potential for change our industry can provide. We hope more than anything to make wine feel positive and uplifting.
