Natural Wine + History of Wine - Nov. 20
From Ancient Greek mentions in literature of the ‘wine-dark sea’ to the natural wine movement of the 20th and 21st centuries, the way wine is made and discussed has changed wildly. This class will discuss both the history of winemaking and the way wine has become part of culture has transitioned with globalization and industrialization. There are still many ways in which wine’s place in global culture is still changing, from label art to flavours in the glass, and we’re here for all of it!
We’ll pour 5 wines to take a closer look at what the natural wine world is up to then and now. N.B. This class is distinct from our original ‘What We Talk About when We Talk About Natural Wine’ class, and will cover slightly different material. The original class is not pre-requisite by any means, but many of the concepts will be discussed in further detail!
This is a two-hour evening class hosted on Thursday, Nov. 20th, 2025
6pm-8pm in Vancouver, BC.
Must be 19+
